High Performance Ford Engine Parts Interchange (SA Design)
If there is one thing Ford Enthusiasts have learned over the years, deciphering which parts work with which engines is a far more difficult task with Fords than with many other engine families. Will Cleveland heads fit on my Windsor block? What is the difference between the two distinct families of big-blocks? What heads are available for use on my small block? Can I gain compression by using older model cylinder heads? Which pulleys should I be able to use on my engine swap? These are just a few examples of common questions Ford fans have. These, and many other questions are examined in this all-new color update of a perennial best-seller. Thoroughly researched, High-Performance Ford Parts Interchange includes critical information on Ford's greatest V-8 engines and goes into great detail on the highly desirable high- performance hardware produced throughout the '60s ,'70s and 80s.

Where could I get a ford Flathead engine for my 32 hi boy?
do you know where I can buy one, any catalogs for parts where you can build one, or do they have crate engines for flatheads like the popular chevy 350? thanks very much!
matt your doing 1 of 2 things, your either building a ratrod/nostalgia rod, and in that case you need the ford flathead v8,although alotta them ran late 40's flats. if you say chevy 350, its not a flathead.its overhead valve, and a very logical choice for a plant on the old fords because of the block dimensions.see the waterpump sits higher on a ford, making the fan almost impossible to run unless you run a crank driven fan,or electric(very possible)

Hi
My dad needs to change the spark plug wires in his car and is asking me to help me find it online. My question is - what is the difference between spark plug wire and ignition wire? is it the same? i found one a site saying spark plug wire set, then the same item (same part number) on a different site says ignition wire set.

1962 Ford Falcon Muffler?
Hello again yahoo answers world. Today I bug you with yet another question about my 1962 ford falcon. I am going to be replacing the entire exhaust system for my car. I'm ordering the system from a catalog i use very often, Mac's auto parts. However i'd like to order the muffler separately. My falcon is a 4 door sedan, with a 170 cubic inch, straight 6 engine. I would like to know which muffler would give it a nice clean sound, with a little bit of bite, and what kind to get, what brand, all that. Thanks! Rob

A "tune up like"condenser on a 1988 Ford Tempo?
I have still have a Tempo that I purchased new in 1988 . (4.2 Lt.) And it had a condenser, like the old condensers on the "points" type distributors. But it wasn't part of the distributor, I'm just describing it.
It was hooked up to a hot wire and screwed to the engine.I took it off and lost it somehow. When I tried to replace it, the auto parts store said that they didn't see any part like it in their inventory catalog.
Recently I've been having some problems with my radio/cd player. The "check engine" light comes on during radio play, and all 4-speakers don't always work.Someone said the missing condenser could have been a radio static filter, and I wonder if that could be causing my other radio electrical problems ?
you have a 2.4 liter by the way no the other way, but any how I know what you are talking about and that is what it is for it is a noise capacitor, they have them on all ford engines, it stops the noise that is coming off the distributor. go to Ford they will have one or hit the auto wreaker they are all the same you might have to wire it in. just make sure it is grounded and it can go anywhere good luck
